Personal documents like birth /death /marriage certificates

Personal certificates such as birth, death, or marriage records issued in India must undergo a verification process to be accepted for official use in Australia. This involves initial notarization by a registered Notary Public in India, followed by attestation or apostille by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India. This procedure confirms the authenticity of the certificate and ensures it is legally recognized by authorities in Australia. The attestation may be required for purposes such as immigration, visa applications, citizenship, legal procedures, or registration with local institutions. Only records issued by competent government bodies and properly authenticated through the required channels are accepted. Applicants should ensure all requirements are met before submission.
