Birth Certificate as per Consular Records

Indian nationals residing in Australia can apply for a Birth Certificate as per Consular Records based on the details available in their valid Indian passport. This certificate serves as an official record of birth and is often required for various legal, personal, and administrative purposes. It is issued in accordance with the information available in the passport and other supporting documents submitted by the applicant. The application process can be completed either in person at designated service centres or through postal submission. Additional details or documents may be requested during processing to ensure accuracy and authenticity before the certificate is issued.

Follow the below steps in order to apply

  1. Create an account (Register yourself) on Alankit Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) website. Click Here to register.
  2. Book your appointment online at Alankit Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) website. You can choose a convenient date and time to visit the Alankit ICAC for your application submission. Click Here to book your appointment online.  
  3. Ensure that you have your all other supporting documents, exactly as per the "Documents Checklist" section. 
  4. Visit the Alankit ICAC, as per your jurisdiction. The address and location of the ICAC will be clearly mentioned in the appontment letter. 
  5. Kindly ensure you reach the ICAC 15 minutes prior to your appointment time. 
  6. Submit your application and deposit your fees at Alankit ICAC. You can check the fee for this application under the "Fee Details" section. 
  7. Your application submission process is now complete! You can avail our Courier service to get your attested document(s) delivered to your doorstep!

Document Checklist

  1. You need to fill the application form through the official government portal. Click here.
  2. Please provide your original Indian passport along with a self-attested photocopy.
  3. You are required to submit one recent passport-size photograph (2 inch x 2 inch) that meets ICAO specifications.
  4. If you plan to submit your application in person, kindly schedule an appointment and bring the appointment letter with you. (No appointment is needed for postal or courier applications.)
  5. For payment, you may use EFTPOS or an Australian-issued MasterCard or Visa credit card at the application centre as specified by Alankit.
  6. Now, visit an Alankit ICAC Centre in person with all the required documents. Make sure to schedule an appointment in advance and arrive at least 15 minutes early.

If any additional documents is required based on the application, the applicant have to provide the same.

Note: If fingerprint or facial biometrics, or both, are not required for the selected service, the corresponding biometric charges for these services will be deducted from the total fees payable by the applicant.

Bank Transfer Charges
